This is a quick video on e-newsletters and the different templates and styles. Each one comes with different pros and cons, the challenge is finding the right balance of being delivered but also being easy to read.
First Template- Plain, Simple Text
This first e-newsletter is very basic and plain, I would almost say boring and in some areas might be difficult to read. This paragraph right here is kinda dense in contrast these articles above have bullet points and I think make it much easier to read on certain devices.
The benefit is the chances of this template making it through spam folders is very high, you can expect a high deliver rate on a template like this. Now weather anyone reads it or more importantly takes action is another story.
Second Template- Color, Pictures
Now this second e-newsletter is the complete opposite, this style has color, pictures and with that background color gives it nice contrast.
This gives a much better presentation and if you included a link with a promotion or to take some action I bet the click thru rate would be super high. Especially if some kind of limited promotion was included.
Third Template- 2 column style
The third template is a 2 column style and I do like this style, like the header. Thing is big headers like this can be a problem for some email servers. The real downside is the two columns contains far too much information in a small space.
If you viewed this on a phone you would see the words are way too close together and small. Just difficult to fit everything in this template with the mobile experience.
